Chloe Sutton Makes Move to Mission Viejo; Nadadores Becoming Open Water Central
MISSION VIEJO, California, July 17. FOLLOWING the resignation of her head coach George French from California Capital Aquatics as well as the large amount of distance freestyle and open water talent converging on Mission Viejo, emerging open water star Chloe Sutton has decided to move to the Nadadores under the tutelage of head coach Bill Rose.
"I am really excited about training with Coach Rose and his group," Sutton said. "I feel lucky to be part of his team since he has so many great athletes."
With Sutton's addition, Mission Viejo will sport top open water and distance stars like Larsen Jensen, Fran Crippen and Chad La Tourette as well as other talent like Micha Burden, Charlie Rimkus and Sachiko Yamada. It looks like Rose is developing quite a corps of marathon swimmers at his disposal.
"Chloe would always be a great addition to any organization," Rose said. "She is very welcome and we look forward to her blending into the group. The fact is that she has a great background of distance swimming. We are looking forward to her enhancing our day-to-day competition in the team.
"It will be a great workout position," Rose continued. "She, Micha and Sachiko are going to be able to blend in with the guys. It solidifies our whole intent of going to the Olympic Trials in both the open water and pool with the very best distance contingent we can put together."
