Chinese National City Games: Wang Shun Posts Strong 1500 Free to Close Meet
NANCHANG, China, October 24. THE Chinese National City Games came to a close in Nanchang with one more top 10 time going up on the scoreboard.
Wang Shun finished his meet with his fourth gold medal, after clearing 15:00 in the men's 1500 free. Wang posted a 14:56.92 for the victory, moving to eighth in the world rankings. Li Yunqi placed second in the distance event with a 15:08.98, while Ke Wang earned third in 15:20.14. Huang Chao touched fourth in 15:36.87.
Li Zhesi topped the women's 50 free championship finale in 25.17, while Yubei Yao placed second in 25.69. Ye Shiwen, better known for her IM events, placed third in 25.75.
Hangzhou emerged from the men's 400 medley relay race with the title in 3:42.25, while Zhengzhou's team claimed the women's 400 medley relay title in 4:05.30. Shanghai Minhang placed second in the women's race with a 4:10.89.
Ye and Shao Yiwen finished the meet as the top gold-winners with five golds each.
