Le Clos spoke of his new surfwear apparel line in conjunction with sponsor Arena, and how it feels to have his family name attached to a line of apparel. It’s part of an amazing two years since winning Olympic gold in the 200 butterfly, a win that even Le Clos didn’t think would happen until 2016. In this interview, Le Clos analyzes all the excitement in and out of the pool that’s taken place since London, and how he’s preparing for the months leading up to the next Olympics. One of the big changes he’s making to his racing program is adding the sprint freestyles to his list, and the success he enjoyed as part of South Africa’s 400 free relay at the Commonwealth Games and on the World Cup tour cements his belief that he’s on the right track in making his sprinting more of a priority without letting go of his pet event, the 200 fly.
