Carmel Swim Club Sets Third 13-14 National Age Group Relay Record in as Many Days
Carmel Swim Club took down its third national age group relay record in as many days as the team of Carter Lancaster (23.44), Brandon Malicki (25.99), Emile Haig (23.50) and Gregg Enoch (21.68) broke the 200 medley relay NAG 13-14 record with a 1:34.61, taking down Nation’s Capital’s 1:35.11 from earlier this year.
This same quartet also lowered the NAG in the 400 medley relay two days ago with a 3:24.49 as Lancaster, Haig and Enoch also teamed up with Lewis Zhang to set the 400 free relay NAG record last night with a 3:08.77.
Lancaster is the son of former Carmel legend and Michigan grad Jason Lancaster, who won 12 state titles in high school from 1991 – 94, and also was on the Michigan team in 1995 that won the national title under coach Jon Urbanchek. Lancaster was also third in the 100 butterfly at the 1996 Olympic Trials.
Carmel Swim Club broke NCAP’s record from just before the pandemic shut everything down from the team of Michael Mullen (24.13), Jordan Evans (27.07), Kris Lawson (22.51) and Simon Bermudez (21.40).
