Butterflyer Grayson Wright Lends Verbal Commitment to Washington College
NEW COMMIT: Haddonfield, N.J. native Grayson Wright has announced his verbal commitment to Washington College and will arrive on campus in the fall of 2021.
He told Swimming World:
“’I’m proud to announce my commitment to continuing my academic and athletic career at Washington College.”
A talented butterflyer, Wright trains year-round with South Jersey Aquatic Club and last competed at the SJAC Last Chance Meet in February where he won the 200 fly. He recorded five best times at the TAC Titans Blizzard Blitz in December and finaled in the 200m fly at Middle Atlantic LCM Seniors in Summer 2019.
His best times include:
- 50 fly – 25.47
- 100 fly – 54.29
- 200 fly – 1:57.97
- 200 IM – 2:02.79
Wright is currently a senior at Bishop Eustace Prep School.
Wright will make a big impact when he suits up for the Shoremen as a member of the Class of 2025 as he would’ve been their fastest 200 butterflyer last season. He would’ve scored in the B-final of that event at the 2020 Centennial Conference Championships where Washington College finished fifth overall in the team standings.
