British Trials, Day 2 Finals: Kara Hanlon Wins 200m Breaststroke, Outside QT For Paris
Kara Hanlon came from 0.67 down at the final turn to take the 200m breaststroke title at the British trials but missed out on the cut for Paris 2024.
The Scot trailed Angharad Evans at the 150 but a final 50 of 37.24 propelled her to the head of the field and into the wall in 2:24.59 for the national title.
It was however, well short of the 2:23.04 required to book a trip to the Olympics in Paris.
Elizabeth Booker was second in 2:25.75 with Gillian Kay Davey third in 2:26.25.
Evans was fourth in 2:26.36 followed by Anna Morgan (2:28.41), Charlotte Bianchi (2:28.47), Sienna Robinson (2:30.43) and Leah Schlossan (2:30.46).
