Briana Roberson of Katy Aquatics Hands Georgia 2021 Verbal Commitment
NEW COMMIT: Fulshear, Texas native Briana Roberson has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Georgia beginning in the fall of 2021.
She will arrive in Athens as a member of the class of 2025 along with Hailey Galbraith, Duné Coetzee, Mia Abruzzo, Lily Gardner, Mary Martin, Elsa Fretz and Rachel Stege.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am so super excited to announce my commitment to the University of Georgia! Big thanks to my coaches, teammates, and family. Can’t wait to be a dawg?”
A talented sprinter, Roberson does her club swimming with Katy Aquatics and is a Futures qualifier. She most recently won the 50 free and grabbed bronze in the 100 back and 100 fly at the Gulf Short Course Championships. Last summer, she notched three best times at the Gulf Summer Championships before going on to register five top-12 finishes at Southern Zone Seniors.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 23.59
- 100 free – 50.70
- 200 free – 1:49.81
- 100 fly – 57.96
- 100 back – 58.39
Also competing for Fulshear High School, Roberson is a four-time Texas 5A State Championship finalist. She was the runner-up in the 100/200 free as a junior while taking fourth in the 200 free and 12th in the 50 free during her sophomore season.
