Breaststroker Evy Riederer Hands Verbal Commitment to FSU Seminoles
NEW COMMIT: Breaststroker Evlin “Evy” Riederer has pledged her verbal commitment to Florida State University, arriving in Tallahassee in Fall 2024.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m excited to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Florida State University! Thank you to my family and friends for the support, and my coaches around the world that helped me achieve this goal! Can’t wait to join this family. GO NOLES!!”
Riederer does her club swimming with The Woodlands Swim Team and raced to 12th in the 100 breast and 18th in the 200 IM at Juniors West back in December. She was a four-time finalist last summer at College Station Futures, highlighted by a 13th-place showing in the 100m breast.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:01.28
- 200 breast – 2:18.46
- 200 IM – 2:00.13
- 400 IM – 4:21.69
A rising senior at The Woodlands High School, Riederer finished second in the 100 breast and sixth in the 200 IM at the 2023 Texas 6A State Championships. She finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.
Riederer’s best time in the 100 breast is already the 11th fastest in FSU history, and she still has a year to go before arriving on campus.
