Brazil’s Pedro Spajari Clips Meet Record in 100 Free Semis at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships
Brazil’s Pedro Spajari clipped the meet record in the men’s 100-meter free semis at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.
Spajari hit the wall in a time of 48.87, breaking the previous record of 48.97 set by Caeleb Dressel of the USA back in 2013.
That’s the second-best swim by an 18-and-under this year behind Kyle Chalmers’ 48.69 from Australian Nationals.

[table “” not found /]USA’s Maxime Rooney, who has been on fire here in Singapore, raced his way to the second seed in 49.39. Canada’s Markus Thormeyer claimed the third seed in 49.59.
Brazil’s Felipe Souza (49.62), Italy’s Alessandro Miressi (49.63), Australia’s Kyle Chalmers (49.65), Italy’s Alessandro Bori (49.70) and Romania’s Robert Glinta (49.97) all cleared 50 seconds to make the finale.
