Brazil’s Diego Rodrigues Commits to Grinnell College

NEW COMMIT: Grinnell College’s new roster for the upcoming 2021-22 season will feature just one international swimmer: Diego Rodrigues of Ribeirao Preto, Brazil.

In LCM, his best times include:

200m back – 2:21.71
200m breast – 2:36.27
200m IM – 2:17.12
400m IM – 4:53.22

In SCY, those times convert to:

200 back – 2:03.14
200 breast – 2:15.64
200 IM – 1:58.88
400 IM – 4:13.63

Rodrigues trains year-round with Natação Ilimitada and earned three best times at the Campeonato Paulista Junior and Senior meet in June 2019. He most recently raced three events at the Torneio Regional meet in August 2019.

Under head coach Erin Hurley, Grinnell won the team title at the 2020 Midwest Conference Championships.
