Brazilian Swimming Names 27 Members to Tokyo Olympic Team

Brazilian Swimming named 27 members to the Tokyo Olympics this summer in Japan with 18 swimmers slated for individual events.
“We have a strong selection. That was our intention from the beginning. Having the best selection and not necessarily the largest selection. We are confident that this team can do well at the Tokyo Olympics,” said CBDA vice president Renato Cordani.
Bruno Fratus, Marcelo Chierighini and Leonardo de Deus are making their third Olympic appearances while Felipe Lima, Etiene Medeiros, Luiz Altamir and Larissa Oliveira will make their second trip to the Games.

- Luiz Altamir – 4x200m freestyle relay
- Guilherme Basseto – 100m backstroke and 4x100m medley relay, 4×100 mixed relay
- Marcelo Chierighini
- Breno Correia – 200m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle relay
- Guilherme Costa – 400m, 800m freestyle and 1500m freestyle
- Leonardo de Deus – 200m butterfly
- Bruno Fratus – 50m freestyle
- Matheus Gonche – 100m butterfly
- Guilherme Guido – 100m backstroke
- Vinicius Lanza – 200m medley
- Felipe Lima – 100m breaststroke and 4x100m medley relay, 4×100 mixed relay
- Caio Pumputis – 200m medley
- Gabriel Santos – 100m freestyle
- Murilo Sartori – 4x200m freestyle relay
