Brazil’s Brandonn Almeida demonstrated some serious closing speed as he overhauled USA’s Taylor Abbott in the men’s 1500-meter free at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.
Almeida won the finale in a time of 15:15.88, while Abbott took second in 15:16.35 after leading for nearly the entire race.
Spain’s Cesar Castro edged China’s Qiu Ziao for third, 15:17.10 to 15:17.54.
