Brandon Loschiavo Leads 1-2 Purdue Finish With Bramley to Win Platform Diving NCAA Title
Purdue senior Brandon Loschiavo scored 469.05 points to win the platform diving title on Saturday night in Greensboro as he went 1-2 with fellow Boilermaker Ben Bramley (450.20).
Loschiavo won ahead of defending champ Jordan Windle of Texas, who missed his third dive and ended up fourth at 422.75 behind Miami’s Zach Cooper (442.65). Texas is now 37 points ahead of California with one event left, leaving it very unlikely the Longhorns won’t end up as champions.
Ohio State scored big points with three finalists in Jacob Siler (416.00), Jake Fielding (385.10) and Lyle Yost (376.95) as the Buckeyes are in seventh overall in the team standings.
Utah’s Luke McDivitt (345.85) also competed in the championship final.
Purdue now has three NCAA titles in platform diving as Brandon Loschiavo joins David Boudia (2009) and Steele Johnson (2015) as winners of the event for the Boilermakers.
