McKenzie Cole, Dan Kelly Lead Boston College Past Tufts

Boston College men’s swimming and diving team hosted Tufts on Thursday. The Eagles beat the Jumbos 204-164.
The meet began with the team of Josh Williams, McKenzie Cole, David Howard, and Dan Kelly winning the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:34.41, over two seconds ahead of Tufts.
Freshman Taylor Cortens won the 200 free (1:44.81) and the 200 back (1:53.35). Kelly won the 50 fly (22.58) and 50 free (21.30), Cole won the 100 breast (59.26) and 50 breast (26.88), and Howard won both the 100 fly (52.89) and 200 fly (1:55.52).
Cole Malatesta swept both diving events, placing first in the 1m (309.15) and the 3m (295.05).
Other event winners included Zachary Wallace in the 200 breast (2:13.82), Anthony Richardson in the 500 free (4:47.34), and Conor Chamness in the 100 free (48.01).
The Eagles return to the pool this Saturday as both the men’s and women’s team compete against Marist.
