Boston College Eagles Land Verbal From Junior National Qualifier Lizzie Oliphant
NEW COMMIT: Boston College has secured a verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from sprint freestlyer Lizzi Oliphant of Columbus, Ohio.
She told Swimming World:
“I’m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Boston College!! I’m so grateful for my family, friends, teammates, and coaches who helped me get here. GO EAGLES!”
Oliphant does her club swimming with Upper Arlington Swim Club and is a Junior National qualifier. She most recently raced the 50m free at Junior Nationals, after she earned five best times at Columbus Sectionals.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 23.36
- 100 free – 51.17
- 200 free – 1:53.03
Currently a senior at Upper Arlington High School, Oliphant placed sixth in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 free as a junior at the Ohio State Championships.
She’s a great get for the Eagles, as her best 50 free and 100 free times would’ve ranked No. 4 on their roster last year, making her an immediate contributor for relays.
