Baker clocked 1:08.24 in the 100 meters backstroke and 2:28.03 for the 200 meters. Laura Val held the national and world records in the 100 with a 1:10.45, and the USMS record in the 200 with a 2:34.04. England's Lesley wilde held the previous 200 meters world mark at 2:32.88.
Baker just missed her own world record in the 100 meter fly, clocking 1:05.51. Her record, set last April, is 1:05.49. "I swam the race more intelligently this time," she said, "but my conditioning isn't quite what it was in April."
