Ben Proud and Duncan Scott set their second meet records in as many days and Freya Anderson won her second title at the Edinburgh International Meet.

Proud set a meet record of 21.72 in the first round of the 50 free skins – knockout races that conclude with two swimmers – before withdrawing for the following rounds.

The two-time world medallist set a 50 fly meet mark of 23.46 on Friday and his 50 free on Saturday was particularly eye-catching given it matched his time from the final at the Tokyo Olympics, where he finished joint fifth.

The Briton’s PB of 21.11 from the 2018 European Championships makes him the second-swiftest man in textile all-time and fourth all-suits.

Olympic 200 free champion Tom Dean and Matt Richards, the 4x200m Tokyo gold medallist, faced off in the final with the former winning in 23.60 to 25.05.

Scott won the 200IM in a meet record after coming second behind Tom Dean in the 200 free in a repeat of the Olympic final on the opening day.

On Saturday, the six-time Olympic medallist held a half body-length lead after the butterfly although Brodie Williams reduced the deficit to 0.32 at the halfway mark.

Scott extended his lead on the breaststroke and powered home with a 29.19 final 50 to touch in 4:15.44, taking more than three seconds off the meet mark held by Max Litchfield.

Williams was second in 4:20.59 with Jacob Greenow rounding out the placings in 4:23.06.

Anderson won the 400 free on the opening night and a great turn at the halfway mark propelled her to the head of the field in the 200 free.

The seven-time European champion was 0.19 ahead of Aimee Canny at 150 before powering home in 1:58.42 with Canny second (1:59.16) and Freya Colbert (1:59.88).

James Wilby, Olympic mixed medley relay gold medallist, won the 100m breaststroke as he and Greg Butler repeated their one-two finish from the 200 on Friday.

Wilby reached the turn at 28.06, 0.50 ahead of Butler who attempted to eat into the deficit on the second 50.

Wilby, the three-time world medallist, kicked again and won in 1:00.23 with fellow Loughborough swimmer Butler second in 1:00.63.

European bronze medallist Louise Hansson dominated the women’s 100 fly in 57.97 ahead of Keanna MacInnes (59.49) and Tain Bruce (59.50).

Andreas Vazaios powered through on the final 50 to win the men’s 200 fly.

James Guy led at the final turn only for Vazaios, the 2019 European short-course champion, to power past him on the final 50 to win in 1:58.45.

Guy (1:58.90) and Miguel Martinez Nonoa of Spain (1:59.85) rounded out the top three.

Colbert was second in 4:47.30 and Lily Booker third in 4:50.53.

Oliver Morgan won the men’s 50 back skins – knockout races that conclude with two swimmers – edging out Joe Litchfield 26.94 to 27.00.

Cassie Wild dominated the women’s event from which Kathleen Dawson withdrew, winning the final race in 31.18.

Sarah Vasey won the 50br skins with a final round of 33.62 ahead of Kara Hanlon (34.22).

Angela Martinez Guillen won the women’s 800 free in 8:47.14 ahead of Ella Dyson (8:50.58) with Daniel Wiffen taking the men’s title in 8:00.55.
