Backstroker Eva Rottink Picks Indiana For 2026
NEW COMMIT: Indiana University has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2026-27 season and beyond from Eva Rottink out of Germantown, Tennessee.
She will join Kayla Han in Bloomington as a member of the Hoosiers’ Class of 2030.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am thrilled to finally announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Indiana University! I would like to give a huge thank you to my amazing family, friends, and MTAC coaches for their unwavering support throughout this process. I would also like to give a huge thanks to the IU swim coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity! GO HOOSIERS”
Primarily a backstroker, Rottink does her club swimming with Memphis Thunder Aquatic Club and earned four best times at Juniors East earlier this month where her highest finish was an 18th-place showing in the 200 back. She raced the 100m back at Olympic Trials this past summer before going on to earn a trip of top-3 finishes at Southeastern LCM Championships.
Her best times include:
- 100 back – 53.19
- 200 back – 1:55.89
- 50 free – 23.32
- 100 free – 51.29
- 200 free – 1:49.98
- 100 fly – 54.80
Currently a junior at Houston High School, Rottink won the 100 back and was the 200 free runner-up at the TISCA State Swimming and Diving Championships in 2024. She took second in the 100 back and fifth in the 50 free at the state meet as a freshman.
Her twin sister, Roos Rottink, has verbally committed to Virginia for 2026.
