From The Arizona Republic: Training camp for the National Basketball Association’s Phoenix Suns began last week, with the Suns working out at high altitude in Northern Arizona. As part of the strength and conditioning regimen, the Suns have been swimming laps for about 30 minutes a day at the Northern Arizona University Wall Aquatic Center. Head Coach Cotton Fitzsimmons said, “It does two things. They get some conditioning, and when they’re working two-a-days, it’s soothing to the muscles without putting stress on their knees or feet.” Center Jo Kleine quipped, “We may not win any games this year, but we’re going to have the best 200 medley-relay team in the league.”
