Auburn Men; Georgia Women Win SEC Titles!

Auburn overcame a relay disqualification in the 200 yard freestyle relay to spoil Tennessee’s hopes in defending their SEC Championship.

Auburn recovered from a disastrous start which dropped them to 7th place after Day 1. Their team depth which included freshmen Matt Busbee, Brett Hawke, and Aaron Ciarla; 1996 Olympic gold medalist John Hargis, propeled the Tigers to the top.

On the women’s side, the Georgia Lady Bulldogs powered their way to the SEC Women’s Title. They were led by Kristy Kowal’s impressive victories in the 100 and 200 yard breastrokes.
