Auburn Lands 2026 Verbal Commitment From Butterflyer Zetta Bartee
NEW COMMIT: Auburn University has landed a new verbal commitment for Fall 2026 from Junior National finalist Zetta Bartee of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Auburn University! Thank you so much to my family, friends, and coaches for being there for me throughout this process, I wouldn’t be where I am without y’all. War Eagle!!”
Primarily a butterflyer, Bartee does her club swimming with Mecklenburg Swim Association. She placed sixth in the 100m fly this past summer at Minneapolis Futures where she also finaled in three other events. Last winter, she finished 17th in the 200 fly and 20th in the 100 fly at Juniors East before going on to post a trio of top-3 finishes at Eastern Zone Speedo Spring Championships.
Her best times include:
- 200 fly – 1:58.11
- 100 fly – 53.89
- 200 free – 1:48.09
- 100 free – 50.64
- 50 free – 23.71
- 200 IM – 2:02.10
Currently a junior at Providence Day School, Bartee won the 200 free and earned bronze in the 100 fly at the 2024 NCISSA DI State Championships. She won both of those events at the state meet as a freshman.
Bartee would’ve been the Tigers’ fourth fastest 200 butterflyer a season ago. Auburn finished fourth at the 2024 Southeastern Conference Championships.
