Auburn Lands 2025 Verbal From NAG Relay Record Holder Abigail Heizer
NEW COMMIT: Auburn University has started its Class of 2025 recruiting after receiving a verbal commitment from U.S. Open qualifier Abigail Heizer of Atlanta, Ga.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am beyond excited to share my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Auburn University! I would like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity, and thank my family, SPAC coaches, and friends for their support! I can’t wait to be part of this team! War Eagle!!”
Heizer, who trains year-round at Spartans Aquatic Club, has been part of three National Age Group record relays: 15-18 LCM mixed 4×50 free relay and two 15-16 SCY mixed 4×50 free relays.
This past summer, she sprinted to ninth in the 50m free at Ocala Futures and she raced three events at Juniors East last December.
Her best times include:
- 50 free: 23.37
- 50 free (relay anchor): 22.42
- 100 free: 50.81
- 50 back: 26.55
- 100 back: 56.22
- 50 fly: 25.10
- 100 fly: 56.68
- 50m free: 26.25
- 50m free (relay anchor): 25.27
- 100m free: 58.18
- 100m back: 106.10
- 100m fly: 1:05.74
Currently a junior at Greater Atlanta Christian School, Heizer earned gold in the 50 free and silver in the 100 free at the 2023 Georgia 4-5A State Championships, also anchoring the winning 4×50 medley relay. She collected silver in the 50 free and bronze in the 100 free as a freshman.
She’s also a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
