NEW COMMIT: Auburn University recently gained another verbal commitment, this time from backstroker Ella Miller. Miller, a native of Shelburne, Vermont, will join recent commit Hannah Mattson as a member of the Class of 2023.

Miller’s announced via social media,

“So excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academics and athletics at Auburn University!! Thank you to all my friends, family, coaches, and teammates for the ongoing support!! #WDE”

Miller currently swims for The Edge Swim Club, located in Williston, Vermont. With the team she has experienced great success, earning the title of 2018 15-18 New England Age Group Champion in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. In 2017, she was named to USA Swimming’s Scholastic All-America list.

Her best times in SCY:

  • 50 Free – 24.93
  • 100 Free – 53.92
  • 100 Back – 54.27
  • 200 Back – 1:59.81

Miller will be a strong addition to Auburn’s team, especially in the 100 back. Her 100 back best time would have placed in the B final at the 2018 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships, while her 200 back would have been just shy of qualifying for the C final.
