The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) announced a stellar line up of speakers as well as some unique networking opportunities for the Pacific Coaches Clinic at the Napa Valley Marriot, Jan. 3-5, 2025.

This year’s clinic boasts three Olympic coaches: Stanford Head Women’s Coach Greg Meehan, who coached 2024 Olympic champion Torri Huske, recently retired University of Texas Head Men’s Coach Eddie Reese and Cal Berkeley Head Coach Dave Durden.  All three have coached numerous Olympians.

The ever-popular stroke technique guru Russell Mark will deliver talks on backstroke and butterfly.

The most highly rated age group speaker from the 2024 ASCA World Clinic, MacKenzie Novell of Fort Collins Area Swim Team (FAST), will share her knowledge on age group training progressions plus her go-to drills and how to teach them. She will also lead the Women’s Coaches gatherings along with ASCA CEO Jennifer LaMont on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

All clinic participants are invited to enjoy a wine tasting in the exhibit hall on Saturday evening hosted by Olympic Champion Natalie Coughlin Hall with wines from Gaderian Wines, which she co-owns with winemaker Shaina Harding. This special event is included in the cost of clinic admission thanks to sponsorship by Captyn and Gaderian Wines.

A lively exhibit hall will include over a dozen swim-related vendors who will be demonstrating products, sharing the latest technology and handing out giveaways. A Kickoff Social sponsored by Colorado Time Systems will start at 5pm on Friday night in the exhibit hall.

Extra paid sessions include the ASCA Level 2 Stroke School taught by Russell Mark on Friday and The Planning Writing and Managing of Age Group and Novice Workouts taught by Dan Mascolo on Sunday.

Early bird pricing for the clinic registration expires on November 27, 2024.  The deadline to book rooms in the block at the Napa Marriot is December 3, 2024.  For more information go to www.swimmingcoach.org/clinics.
