ASCA Announces Candidates for Board of Directors
The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) on Wednesday announced its candidates for the organization’s Board of Directors.
Eight candidates have been put forth, vying for five open spots on the 12-member board. They will hold three-year terms.
Five of the nominees were advanced by the ASCA’s governance committee. Another three are self-nominated. Voting will be held electronically Sept. 7-8, with the deadline to vote at 10 a.m. CST on Sept. 8. This follows the ASCA Annual Member Meeting at the World Clinic on Sept. 7.
From the ASCA’s press release
It is crucial to ASCA that the final decision on the Board of Directors rests with its dedicated membership. ASCA believes in the power of collective voices and the democratic process. The membership’s input is invaluable, ensuring that the board represents a diverse cross-section of expertise, perspectives, and backgrounds reflective of the entire swimming community. All U.S. members of ASCA will be able to vote electronically via a link sent to their email on file with ASCA.
