ASCA Announces 2022 Legends of Texas Coaches Clinic
The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) is excited to announce the 2022 Legends of Texas Clinic will be held at the University of Texas at Austin April 8-10, 2022….and the speaker list truly lives up to the billing of Texas legends!
The blockbuster line up of speakers includes:
• University of Texas Coaches Eddie Reese, Carol Capitani and Mitch Dalton
• Former UT Women’s Coach and 4-time Olympian Jill Sterkel
• USA Swimming executive and 3-time Olympian Brendan Hansen
• ASCA Fitter and Faster Age Group Coach of the Year Colin Kennedy
• Strength and Conditioning Coach Charlie Hoolihan
• Leadership, Strategic Planning and Organizational Advisor Renata Pellino-Porter
The renowned annual ASCA clinic this year will offer an opportunity for participants to observe both University of Texas men’s and women’s practices on Friday, as well as in pool demonstrations with athletes led by the UT coaches on Saturday.
The practices and pool sessions will take place at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. The talks and exhibitors will be at the Recreational Sports Center.
The ASCA Level 2 Stroke School Certification course, offered on Friday prior to the clinic, will be led by Nitro Swimming Head Coach and ASCA President Mike Koleber and ASCA Staffer Matt Hooper at the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center.
A Strength and Conditioning Workshop will be offered just after the clinic, on Sunday afternoon, by Coach Charlie Hoolihan at the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center.
