Arizona State Men, Virginia Women Stay Atop CSCAA Top 25 Polls

Arizona State’s men’s team and the Virginia women remained atop the rankings in the latest CSCAA Top 25 Polls, released on Thursday.

ASU holds its No. 1 ranking after tying with California in a sensational dual meet. The draw allows Cal to jump a spot to No. 2, while NC State is up a spot to No. 3 after topping Virginia and UNC. Florida falls two spots to No. 4 to make way.

Virginia continues to reign over the women’s field with 375 points. Texas holds its spot at No. 2, followed by Florida. They’re joined by No. 4 Standard, up from 10th, and No. 5 California, up from No. 9.

Ohio State, USC, Louisville, Indiana and NC State round out the top 10. Each are ranked lower than in the previous week.

The big mover in the men’s poll is Stanford, up from No. 9 to No. 5. Indiana, Georgia, Texas A&M, Texas and Auburn round out the top 10. Virginia Tech makes a big jump from 21 to No. 13 this week on the men’s side. Princeton leaps into the poll at No. 24.

There was little movement outside the top 10 in the women’s poll, with Tennessee, up to 12 from 15, the biggest change. Virginia Tech enters the poll at No. 23, while LSU is No. 25.

Two more Top 25 polls remain for this season, on Feb. 8 and Feb. 29.
