In Tokyo last Friday, Japan’s Ayari Aoyama set a short-course world record in the 100m butterfly with a time of 58.24 seconds.
The 15-year-old Aoyama knocked 0.05 seconds off the previous standard set last December by Misty Hyman of the U.S.
