Ally McHugh fought through a little bit of jetlag to post a strong victory in the women’s 800 free (8:26.04) on night one of the 2019 Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships.

Following her race, McHugh stopped by the press tent to talk to the media and discuss how her life has been changing as of late. One of the main things that McHugh talked about was her recent big move to Wisconsin, where she is training for the Olympic Trials.

McHugh expressed that the new coaching change is already pushing her a lot more and feels like her training is being prioritized.
