ORLANDO, Florida, March 19. IT doesn’t take an A final win to make your mark at the 2014 NCSA Junior National Championships. The National Age Group records continued to fall on the first night of finals, with the girl’s 13-14 100 breaststroke NAG toppled by 13-year-old Alexis Wenger of the Grosse Pointe Gators.
Wenger raced a blistering fast 1:00.98 for the 100 breaststroke B final win. Her time was three tenths under Megan Quann’s 1:01.29 former National Age Group record, set last century in 1998. Wenger also dropped 1.89 seconds from her morning swim.
