Race Video: Watch Alex Walsh Sets 13-14 100-yard Backstroke NAG Record

After setting a new 13-14 National Age Group Record in the 200-yard individual medley on Thursday night, Alex Walsh set a new record in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday.

Walsh was competing at the Speedo Winter Jr. National Championships (East).

The 14-year-old Walsh posted a time of 51.62 in the 100-yard backstroke. Walsh was a full second under Kathleen Baker’s previous record of 52.87.
