Alana Berlin Pledges Verbal Commitment to Stanford in 2025
NEW COMMIT: Stanford University has picked up yet another big verbal commitment for Fall 2025, this time from U.S. Open Qualifier Alana Berlin of Franklin, Wisconsin.
She will join Addie Robillard, Ella Jablonski and Annam Olasewere on The Farm as a member of the Cardinal’s Class of 2029.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am excited and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Stanford University! Thank you to my family, teammates, and coaches for supporting me on this journey. I am beyond blessed to become a Stanford Cardinal. Thank you Coach Greg and Coach Katie. Go Trees!!”
Berlin does her club swimming with Schroeder YMCA Swim Team and placed 21st in the 100m back at Junior Nationals this past summer after finaling in both the 50m back and 50m fly at Phillips 66 Nationals.
She had four top-5 finishes at YMCA Short Course Nationals in April, also placing fifth in the 100 back and sixth in the 100 fly at Juniors West in December 2022.
Her best times include:
- 100 back – 52.31
- 100 fly – 52.58
- 50 free – 23.04
- 100 free – 50.69
- 200 IM – 2:01.26
Berlin’s best times are already fast enough to score in the A-final at the PAC-12 Championships in the 100 back ad 100 fly. However, Stanford will be part of the ACC by the time she arrives on campus.
