NEW COMMIT: The University of Alabama has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from breaststroker Kasia Norman of Holland, Mich.
Norman, who owns the Summer Juniors cut in the 100 breast, does her club swimming with Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics and recently finished 17th in that event at Juniors East. This past summer, she placed fourth in the 50m breast at Cleveland Sectionals before going on to earn silvers in the 50m/100m breast at Michigan LCM Opens. She also raced to seventh in the 100 breast at 2018 Juniors East.

Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:01.76
- 200 breast – 2:23.39
- 50 free – 23.67
- 50m free – 26.95
- 100m breast – 1:12.10
Even with 1.5 years of club swimming still to go before arriving in Tuscaloosa, Norman’s best time in the 100 breast would’ve placed in the C-final at the 2019 SEC Championships. She’ll join Anna Ogren and Greta Gidley next year as members of Alabama’s class of 2025.
