Alabama Picks Up 2026 Verbal From Suburban Seahawks’ Jack Grimley

NEW COMMIT: The University of Alabama has kickstarted its Class of 2026 recruiting with a verbal commitment from Junior National qualifier Jack Grimley of King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

He will arrive in Tuscaloosa as a member of the Crimson Tide’s Class of 2030.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“Alabama had amazing team culture, beautiful facilities and world class resources athletically and academically. Most importantly I felt and a connection with the team and coaches and they made me feel at home.”

Primarily a distance swimmer, Grimley trains year-round with Suburban Seahawks Club and finished seventh in both the 400m IM and 1500m free this past summer at Middle Atlantic Seniors. He took eighth in the 400 IM at Middle Atlantic Seniors back in March after racing four events at NCSA Spring Championships.

His best times include:

  • 1650 free – 15:37.93
  • 1000 free – 9:32.92
  • 500 free – 4:35.68
  • 200 free – 1:43.09
  • 400 IM – 4:03.39

Currently a junior at The Haverford School, Grimley took fifth in the 500 free and 11th in the 200 free at the 2024 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming Championships. He placed 15th and 23rd, respectively, in those events during his freshman season.

Alabama finished seventh at the 2024 Southeastern Conference Championships.
