Aggies Start Class of 2026 Recruiting With In-State Verbal from TAPPS Champion Hadley Beeson

NEW COMMIT: Texas A&M University has started their Class of 2026 recruiting after receiving an in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from Hadley Beeson out of Dallas.

She told Swimming World:

I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Texas A&M University!!! I am so thankful for my family, coaches, teammates and friends who have made this opportunity possible. I can’t wait to be an Aggie, GIG ‘EM!!??” 

Beeson, who does her club swimming with Elite Swim Program, recorded five best times while swimming in her future home pool at College Station Sectionals in March. In Summer 2019, she finaled in the 50m free at Austin Sectionals before going on to race four events at Des Moines Futures.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.85
  • 100 free – 51.79
  • 200 free – 1:51.66
  • 500 free – 5:00.96
  • 100 breast – 1:05.71
  • 100 fly – 56.86

Currently a junior at Bishop Lynch High School, Beeson is already a four-time individual TAPPS DI State Championship finalist. She won the 200 free and was the runner-up in the 100 fly as a sophomore while taking first in both the 200 free and 500 free during her freshman season.

She led Bishop Lynch to a runner-up finish in the team standings last season, which was their highest showing since 2004.

Under head coach Steve Bultman, Texas A&M finished sixth overall in the team standings at the 2020 SEC Championships. The Aggies are bringing in a strong cohort in the fall of 2021 that includes Kaitlyn Owens, Martina FuentesJoelle ReddinMeredith BrownShannon Bagnal, Brooke Fegley and Sarah Holt.
