Adam Peaty Breaks European Championship Record in 50 Breast

Adam Peaty set up an exciting final by surging to a meet record in the 50 breast. He continues to be untouchable in the breaststroke events The British champion finished in 26.50, breaking his own mark of 26.62 set in 2014.

Italy’s Fabio Scozzoli was second in 27.04, followed by Ilya Shymanovich of Belarus (27.09).

Serbia’s Caba Siladji was fourth (27.12), followed by Ties Elzerman of the Netherlands (27.16).
