757Swim’s Evan Lynch Hands Verbal Commitment to Towson University
NEW COMMIT: Williamsburg, Virginia’s Evan Lynch verbally committed to swim for Towson University beginning next fall. Lynch goes to Bruton High School and trains with 757Swim.
He said of his decision,
“I chose Towson because both the team and the coaches were very friendly, helpful and shared a drive to always keep improving. The team was like a family and I could tell from the minute I arrived on campus I wanted to be a part of it. Go Tigers!”
A freestyler, his best times are:
- 500 Free 4:35.81
- 1000 Free 9:41.22
- 1650 Free 16:23.25
- 200 Free 1:42.57
- 100 Free 48.41
At the 2017 CAA Championships it took a 4:34.90 to make finals in the 500 free. Lynch is just shy of that mark. Towson sophomore Aaron Magazine finished eighth in the event last year (4:30.80 prelims). He’ll be a senior in Lynch’s first year. Evan Brophy (4:31.80) raced in last year’s B final. He’ll also overlap with Lynch for a year. Matthew Kenney (4:35.88) and Hunter Wright (4:36.02) will be great training partners for Lynch for two years.
Congratulations Evan!
