Lilly King will represent Team USA in both breaststroke events in Rio after winning the women’s 200 breast tonight. She stopped the clock in 2:24.08, three tenths ahead of runner-up Molly Hannis.
King won the 100 breast earlier this week in 1:05.20, the fastest time in the world this year. She is the first female to win both breaststroke events at Trials since Amanda Beard in 2004.
Hannis earned her first Olympic berth after touching the wall second in 2:24.39 after finishing third in the 100 breast earlier this week.
King talked to the media about the difference between the 100 and the 200 and Hannis talked about her excitement heading to Rio.
