Stanford made it two-for-two on relay wins, this time with a quarted of the team’s biggest names winning the 800 free relay.
Stanford’s Torri Huske, Taylor Ruck, Regan Smith and Brooke Forde finished in 6:50.21, an NCAA “A” cut that was a second off the meet record.
Smith, who was the lone swimmer in both relays, had a 1:43 split, while the other three had solid 1:42 swims.
It was a good strategy by Stanford coach Greg Meehan, which could open up other options at the upcoming NCAA Championships as he aims to find the most productive lineup.
Cal’s Isabel Ivey, Ayla Spitz, Alicia Wilson and Leah Polonsky took second in 6:59.11, also an “A” cut.
Arizona State’s Erica Laning, Emma Nordin, Lindsay Looney and Erin Milligan finished third in 7:03.49, a “B” cut.
