“Super-Strokes & Skills Clinics” are designed to retrain and refresh a swimmer’s stroke technique toward a world-class model. They feature 2.5 hours of combined video group instruction on world-class stroke technique with the ARETE Swim Camp’s progression of stroke development from floating to body position through recovery and propulsion. About 1/3 of the clinic is focused on starts and turns.

The Super-Strokes & Strokes Clinics feature an approximately a 1:10 coach to swimmer ratio and work with many of the ARETE Swim Camp staff. A warm-water pool will be used for the youngest swimmers.

Each swimmer is filmed underwater and has permanent access to their own recording. A coach analyzes each stroke with each swimmer using our camp workbook. A key aspect of Arete swim camp is our “Inner Engineering Curriculum” and we have a coach to swimmer ratio of 1:9 or better.

Arete is available to swimmers aged 7 to 18. Participants should be able to swim at least 50 yards (2 lengths) of each of the four competitive swimming strokes. At this date the FDU policy is that everyone on the FDU campus must be fully vaccinated. If that policy changes before camp Arete will let you know.

Coach Warner’s experience includes four-time Big East Conference coach of the year, author of …And Then They Won Gold, Four Champions, One Gold Medal, EDDIE REESE: Coaching Swimming, Teaching Life and former President of the American Swimming Coach’s Association.
