The psych sheets for the 2020 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships were released to the public today. The meet will begin Tuesday night February 18 at 5:00 p.m. local time with the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay swimming events. The meet will go through until Saturday night and will be held on the campus of Auburn University.

PSYCH SHEETS

Texas A&M women have won the last four SEC titles, but look vulnerable this year to get their streak broken. Nine teams are ranked in the top 25, led by #4 Tennessee, who has never won an SEC women’s title. #8 Florida, #9 Georgia, #11 Texas A&M, #13 Kentucky, #14 Auburn, #17 LSU, #18 Alabama and #20 Missouri make up the rest of the ranked teams as it should be an exhilarating meet.

The big question mark for SECs is what events will Tennessee’s Erika Brown swim? She is currently entered in the 50, 100 and 200 free, the 100 fly and the 100 back. She can only swim three individual events and will likely choose the 50 and 100 free, leaving either the 100 fly or the 200 free as her third event, since those events are on the same day. Swimming World does not want to speculate anything, but Brown may actually have a better chance at winning the 200 freestyle come NCAAs in five weeks. She will do battle with Arkansas’ Anna Hopkin in the 50 and 100 free, as they put up identical times in the shorter event at their respective invitationals.
