The 2019 Speedo Sectionals in Indianapolis day 3 events include: women’s and men’s 100 back, 400 free, 100 breast, 200 fly, and timed finals in the women’s 200 free relay and men’s 800 free relay.

Women’s 200 Free Relay

Carmel Swim Club’s Avery Williams, Meghan Christman, Colleen Duffy, and Kelly Pash get their hand to the wall first in a time of 1:44.93. Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics touches second in a time of 1:46.79 with Carmel’s B relay closely behind for third (1:47.03).

Women’s 100 Back

Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics’ Kathryn Ackerman touches the wall first in a time of 1:02.68. In a close finish for second, SwimMAC’s Morgan Razewski (1:03.16) out touches Waves Bloomington/Normal Y’s Anna Peplowski (1:03.17). Touching fourth was Atlantis Swimming’s Justine Murdock (1:03.33) followed closely behind by SwimMAC teammates Madelyn Flickinger (1:03.88) and Elizabeth Sowards (1:03.89). Lakeside Swim Team’s Madeline Meredith (1:03.97) and Carmel’s Colleen Duffy (1:05.02) finish seventh and eighth.

Men’s 100 Back

Carmel’s Wyatt Davis finishes first in a time of 55.25. Touching second is Lakeside Swim Team’s Hunter Tapp in a time of 56.14. In a close finish for third, Firestone Akron Swim Team’s Kaden Smesko (57.24) touches just ahead of Bluefish Swim Club’s Harrison Homans (57.38). Trojan’s Ralph Porrazzo comes in fifth place at a time of 58.01 ahead of Carmel’s Griffin Hadley (58.17), SwimMAC’s Hugh Svendsen (58.28), and Bloomington Normal Swim Club’s Andy Ritsema (58.99).

Women’s 400 Free

Boilermaker Aquatics’ Kaersten Meitz finishes ahead of the rest of the field in a time of 4:08.87. Coming in second was Northern KY Clippers Swimming’s Mariah Denigan (4:16.89) ahead of Mid Michigan Aquatics’ Lola Mull (4:20.67). Bluefish Swim Club’s Summer Smith (4:21.38) touches just ahead of Oly Swimming’s Lucy Malys (4:21.42). The rest of the heat right there with them with SwimMAC’s Faith Hefner touching sixth (4:22.45) just ahead of Drop Aquatics’ Emma Inch (4:22.82) and Bluefish Swim Club’s Anna Hein (4:23.19).

Men’s 400 Free

Carmel’s Jacob Mitchell touches first in a time of 3:52.79 ahead of SwimMAC’s John Walker (3:53.43). Scarlet Aquatics’ Oludare Rose touches third in a time of 3:56.37. La Mirada Armada’s Kevin Vargas touches fourth (4:01.44) with Northern KY Clippers Swimming’s Elijah Shoyat (4:03.19) following closely behind. Rounding out the A final was Fishers Area Swimming Tiger’s Jackson Carlile (4:03.41), Carmel’s Augustus Rothrock (4:04.06), and Southwest Y Michigan Swimming’s Kyriakos Peristeridis (4:08.01).

Women’s 100 Breast

Jinq En Phee touches first in a time of 1:09.59 just ahead of Ohio State Swim Club’s Janessa Mathews (1:09.70). Claire Donan and SwimMAC’s Desirae Mangaoang tie for third in a time of 1:11.66. SwimMAC’s Grace Rainey finishes fifth (1:11.68) just ahead of Eagle Swim Team’s Elizabeth Fry (1:11.93). Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics’ Kasia Norman (1:12.87) and SwimMAC’s Emme Nelson (1:13.32) finish seventh and eighth.

Men’s 100 Breast

Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics’ Devon Nowicki gets his hand to the wall first in a time of 1:02.00. West Ottawa Swim Club’s Derek Maas comes in second in a time of 1:03.07. In a close race for third, Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics’ Khadin Soto (1:04.43) touches just ahead of Eagle Swim Team’s Maximillian Verheyen (1:04.81). Mathew Bond of Concord Swim Club touches fifth in a time of 1:05.20 ahead of Northern KY Clippers Swimming’s Patrick Merse (1:05.26). Greater Toledo Aquatic Club’s Andrew Grespin (1:06.24) and NASA’s Joseph Garberick (1:07.33) touch seventh and eighth.

Women’s 200 Fly

Carmel’s Kelly Pash takes first-place in a time of 2:11.39, just ahead of Northern KY Clippers Swimming’s Allison Piccirillo (2:11.88). SwimMAC’s Elizabeth Vannote (2:14.70) claims third as she out touches Northern KY Clippers Swimming’s Kenady Beil (2:14.81). Bluefish Swim Club’s Summer Smith touches fifth (2:15.91) followed closely behind by Ohio State Swim Club’s Martina Peroni (2:16.15), Bluefish Swim Club’s Brynn Wright (2:17.57) and Solo Aquatics’ Abigail Sullivan (2:19.84).

Men’s 200 Fly

Scarlet Aquatics claims first through third place in this event led by Jonathan Gomez (2:00.45). His teammates Gabriel Orbe (2:00.77) and Oludare Rose (2:01.46) follow closely behind. Bluefish Swim Club’s Harrison Homans finishes fourth (2:03.11) ahead of Oly Swimming’s Adam Vlasic (2:03.56). La Mirada Armada’s Kevin Vargas (2:04.62), North Baltimore Aquatic Club’s Ryan Branon (2:05.14), and Scarlet Aquatics’ Justin Park (2:06.22) finish sixth through eighth.

Men’s 800 Free Relay

Carmel Swim Club’s Jacob Mitchell, Augustus Rothrock, Alec Delong, and Wyatt Davis touch the wall first in a time of 7:34.23. Oly Swimming finishes second (7:43.69) followed closely behind by Scarlet Aquatics (7:46.76).
