The first full day of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships opened in Austin, Texas, on Thursday evening, and the finals featured some records and near records.
Cal’s Andrew Seliskar and Ryan Hoffer each won events on Thursday night, while they also teamed with Pawel Sendyk and Michael Jensen to take the top seed in the 200 free relay.
Texas senior Townley Haas set the NCAA mark in the 500 free and Indiana won the 400 medley relay.
