2019 ACC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships: Sophie Hansson Swims 57.7 100 Breast For Sixth All-Time
Friday night’s finals of the 2019 ACC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships from Greensboro was a pivotal one in the team race as NC State won five total events. The headliner was freshman Sophie Hansson as she swam a 57.74 in the 100 breast as she moved to sixth all-time in the event.

Haan also won the 100 back earlier in the night as she successfully defended her title that she won in 2018. NC State also got wins from Kate Moore in the 400 IM (the Wolfpack had the top four spots in that event) and Madeline Kline in platform diving.
Virginia’s Morgan Hill won the 100 fly and Louisville’s Mallory Comerford won the 200 free as NC State holds a narrow lead over Virginia heading into the final day of action from Greensboro, North Carolina.
