Once again, the women set the precedent and the men followed suit.
After the U.S. women set the meet record in 4×200 free relay, the men matched the feat with a record of their own.
Jake Magahey (1:49.40), Drew Kibler (1:48.30), Dare Rose (1:49.04) and Carson Foster (1:49.68) won the men’s event in 7:16.42.
It broke the old mark set by Australia in 2009.
Japan finished second (7:21.40), followed by Australia (7:26.57), Canada (7:31.39), New Zealand (7:37.70) and China (8:06.44).
