The third day of competition will hopefully provide as much drama and intensity as the first two days at the NCAA Division 1 Women’s Championships. The heat sheets have been posted for Friday morning as it will be an eventful morning.

The 400 IM will kick things off where Ella Eastin will look to defend her title from last year. The Stanford sophomore is the top seed ahead of Texas senior Madisyn Cox and Texas A&M sophomore Sydney Pickrem. The 100 fly will be a very tight field tomorrow with Stanford junior Janet Hu leading the seeds closely ahead of USC freshman Louise Hansson and Cal senior Farida Osman.

Katie Ledecky will look to continue her momentum after her stellar 500 Thursday night into the 200 free prelims where she is the second seed behind her teammate Simone ManuelMallory Comerford, who has performed very quick times on all of Louisville’s relays, including the fastest 800 free relay split of anyone, is the third seed.

Lilly King will be looking to defend her 100 breast NCAA title and the Nat will be on record watch after her 56.30 American record from Big Ten’s a few weeks ago. Florida State’s Natalie Pierce, who had a swift 57.29 medley relay split with a -0.12 relay exchange, is seeded second while Laura Simon of Virginia is seeded third. The 100 back will round out the morning where Ally Howe of Stanford is the top seed after her American Record at Pac-12’s. Kathleen Baker is the second seed after her 49.80 in Thursday’s 400 medley relay and Hu is the third seed, who will take on the vaunted 100 fly-100 back double.
