2016 YMCA Long Course Nationals Psych Sheet Released

The psych sheet for the 2016 YMCA Long Course Nationals has been released with the five day meet kicking off tomorrow in Indianapolis, IN at the IUPUI natatorium.

Phoenixville’s Emma Seiberlich enters the meet with four total events, two of which she ranks as the top seed. Watch for Seiberlich in the 200 fly (1st, 2:12.14), 200 free (1st, 2:03.82), 200 back (2nd, 2:11.59) and 100 back (3rd, 1:02.56).

North Shore’s Kaitlin Harty will look to sweep the longer backstroke events with a first place seed in both the 100 (1:01.11) and 200 (2:10.23). The eighteen-year-old is also entered in the 200 free (43rd, 2:11.97) and the 50 back (73rd, 25.15 SCY).

Brian McKenrick of Upper Main Line sits atop the men’s 50 (27.18) and 100 (57.46) backstroke going into the meet. McKenrick is currently perched at fifth in the men’s 100 fly with a 56.96 and will be looking to challenge the two 56’s above him for a spot on the podium.

Butterfly sprint star Caitlin Tycz will open competition as the top seed in both the 50 (27.82) and 100 (1:00.81) fly, and sits at eleventh for the 200 fly (2:21.82). The sixteen-year-old from Bath Area will also be competing in the 200 free.

Billy Beard of Upper Main Line has a chance to win both the 50 (23.16) and 100 (54.77) free with his spot as the top seed, but will have to battle the likes of Soundview’s Corey Gambardella in the 100 (2nd, 54.97) and  Wilton’s Hugo Sykes (2nd, 23.38) in the 50.
