While Michael Phelps still owned his fair share of most read items to close the year, the Towson Controversy and Katie Ledecky’s amazing swims at the NCAP Invitational dominated the top read stories in Nov-Dec.

The Towson situation really hit a critical point when Swimming World broke the story that the team planned on boycotting a dual meet with Pittsburgh. This news forced the administration to finally kick the investigation into high gear with international, national and local media in Baltimore picking up the story.
