17-Year-Old Olivia Bray Moves to Eighth All-Time in 100 SCY Fly
17-year-old Olivia Bray moved to eighth all-time in the 100 SCY butterfly on Friday at the Virginia Senior Championships in Stafford, Virginia. Bray swam a 50.19 on Friday night as she crushed the 17-18 NAG record of 51.02 by Annie Ochitwa from 2016. She took a huge chunk off her best time as she came in to the meet at 51.38.
Bray is almost a full second ahead of the rest of the 17-18 age group as the Virginia Gators swimmers still has another year of school left. She could be the youngest woman to ever break 50 seconds in the 100 fly.
Bray is just a junior and is already committed to the University of Texas. She will be a freshman in the fall of 2020. Bray would currently be fourth in Division I with her swim from this weekend.
