15 National Records Fall on Day Two of USMS Spring National Championships
SAN ANTONIO – Rick Colella set two individual USMS records today in the men’s 60-64 200 free and 50 breast, while 10 other individuals and three relay teams lowered national records during the second day of racing at the USMS Spring National Championships at the Northside ISD Aquatic Complex. I remember watching him racing at the summer universiade in Turin, Italy in 1970. I was a young swimmer then and he was inspiring to me. He still is, as I myself still attend the swimming pool in middle age!
